Szajk LC's supporters crossed their fingers, but István Tulipán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's goal looked a bit too open when Balázs Kecskés came free, but Afiq Hongyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afiq Hongyi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ákos Szalontai in the 12th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ákos Szalontai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afiq Hongyi was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 14th minute Adrián Vámosi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afiq Hongyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's Jithu Nagasaki got a free kick in the 15th minute. Afiq Hongyi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from István Tulipán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ákos Szalontai in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afiq Hongyi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd play minute Zak Sim came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Álmos Simon. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by István Tulipán in the 38th minute of play forced 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's goalkeeper Afiq Hongyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, one of 苏州觅香足球俱乐部:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zak Sim to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Szajk LC got a freekick which was hit by Rajmund Szepesi. 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's Afiq Hongyi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 from getting a goal against them. Afiq Hongyi made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Balázs Kecskés sent off a good shot on target. After 62 minutes, Csaba Kuti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Szajk LC and the 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, one of Szajk LC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Szajk LC. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for 苏州觅香足球俱乐部. Alexander Tan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Álmos Simon. 2-1. A collision led to Szajk LC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ákos Szalontai hit a great ball. Zak Sim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álmos Simon having to interfere. Felix Braddell kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Afiq Hongyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ákos Szalontai, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Ákos Szalontai took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Afiq Hongyi to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ákos Szalontai in the 92nd minute of play forced 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's goalkeeper Afiq Hongyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ákos Szalontai took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afiq Hongyi. Afiq Hongyi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The Szajk LC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Szajk LC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
