The referee ignored Freezerpool FC's protests and gave Eloy Theodore a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10thth minute of the game Théophile Cassin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Freezerpool FC's Placido Bilintx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Théophile Cassin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Placido Bilintx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Freezerpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Rutenio. If Théophile Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddy Raoult kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Valette Stars getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Adrien Lagarde hit a great ball. Bonifacio Maurin charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bonifacio Maurin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 47 minutes into the game, Benito Alonso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Freezerpool FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valette Stars the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gavino Fidensio was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Philippe Péchard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Valette Stars getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Eddy Raoult hit a great ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Gavino Fidensio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Freezerpool FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavino Fidensio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Anthony Terras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valette Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Freezerpool FC the free kick. Nicolas Rutenio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Moïse Kerbrat. Valette Stars's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Adrien Lagarde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valette Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Freezerpool FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Valette Stars's Adrien Lagarde got a free kick in the 75th minute. Moïse Kerbrat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Neron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Valette Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moïse Kerbrat should have stopped the shot. Redouane Eschbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Théophile Cassin in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Placido Bilintx, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Freezerpool FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Valette Stars had controlled the match.
