The Nerd Herd's Arnstein Øvereng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Tavares in the 13th minute of play. Ola Nysted's late challenge caught a Valette Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ola Nysted helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to The Nerd Herd getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ola Nysted hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Dagfinn Ringvold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moïse Kerbrat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vebjørn Dyb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Vebjørn Dyb came free, but Moïse Kerbrat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moïse Kerbrat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vebjørn Dyb in the 27th minute of the match. Théophile Cassin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnstein Øvereng having to interfere. When Dagfinn Ringvold fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Nerd Herd's protests and gave Dagfinn Ringvold a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Dagfinn Ringvold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dagfinn Ringvold got his second yellow card in the match during the 36th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Dagfinn Ringvold hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Redouane Eschbach kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnstein Øvereng. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. Raoul Caudal took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnstein Øvereng. Arnstein Øvereng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vebjørn Dyb was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Valette Stars booed when The Nerd Herd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eilif Sandberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55thth minute of the game Théophile Cassin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Nerd Herd's Arnstein Øvereng was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Théophile Cassin scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnstein Øvereng, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnstein Øvereng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Théophile Cassin in the 63rd minute of the match. Vebjørn Dyb charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vebjørn Dyb the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to The Nerd Herd getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Vebjørn Dyb hit a great ball. Arnstein Øvereng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raoul Caudal in the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of Valette Stars booed when The Nerd Herd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theodor Tobiassen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnstein Øvereng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Redouane Eschbach in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the The Nerd Herd defense, Redouane Eschbach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnstein Øvereng. The The Nerd Herd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnstein Øvereng should have stopped the shot. Redouane Eschbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Arnstein Øvereng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ådne Blomvik kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Arnstein Øvereng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raoul Caudal, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Raoul Caudal took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnstein Øvereng. Arnstein Øvereng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Valette Stars's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
