Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5612, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) ACF Fiorentina's Pastor Osoitz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vebjørn Dyb came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnulfo Suero could save by the left post. 12 minutes into the match, Horacio Eutor notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of The Nerd Herd's Arnstein Øvereng. Arnstein Øvereng was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Magne Georgsen lost his temper 16 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a defensive mix-up in ACF Fiorentina's zone, Dagfinn Ringvold stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Suero came out of the goal and Dagfinn Ringvold tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Pastor Osoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnstein Øvereng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ariel Chale made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by The Nerd Herd's Ådne Blomvik. Arnstein Øvereng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Eutor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's goal looked a bit too open when Dagfinn Ringvold came free, but Arnulfo Suero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dagfinn Ringvold to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnulfo Suero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ola Nysted in the 52nd minute of the match. Arnulfo Suero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagfinn Ringvold in the 54th minute of play. Dagfinn Ringvold's late challenge caught a ACF Fiorentina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dagfinn Ringvold helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, The Nerd Herd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagfinn Ringvold to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to The Nerd Herd getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Eilif Sandberg hit a great ball. Arnstein Øvereng was a little too slow when Mariano Rey got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-2. 79 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Ricart threw the ball into play from the sideline. The Nerd Herd's Vebjørn Dyb quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Dagfinn Ringvold recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Nerd Herd's Theodor Tobiassen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Raul Mergildo in the 87 minute of the game. Raul Mergildo made in the 88th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Sergio Domeka however managed to control. Ariel Chale got a throw-in 95 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cayetano Berto. ACF Fiorentina's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
