The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Rossobianco's zone, Angelo do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ubaldo Cordeal came out of the goal and Angelo do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Cordeal having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Rossobianco's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Barros came free, but Ubaldo Cordeal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wágner Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ubaldo Cordeal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Wágner Brodel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ubaldo Cordeal was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Rossobianco's zone, Wágner Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ubaldo Cordeal came out of the goal and Wágner Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ubaldo Cordeal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Danone CC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico de Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Prudencio Charro struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Pedro Luiz da Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rossobianco. Danone CC's Pedro Luiz da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Hartz in the 28th minute of play. After 32 minutes, Fabricio Matxin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rossobianco and the Danone CC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rossobianco getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Fabricio Matxin hit a great ball. Samuel Gabirel hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute Zé Pedro Romero suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 44 minutes into the game, Prudencio Charro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rossobianco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Danone CC the free kick. Danone CC's Marcinho Sarmento was substituted for Zé Pedro Romero. After a rather tough play, Rossobianco's Prudencio Charro got a free kick in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wágner Brodel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Rossobianco's Ubaldo Cordeal got control of the ball when Wágner Brodel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th minute Inocencio Koldo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 54 minutes into the game, Wágner Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Danone CC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rossobianco the free kick. Rossobianco's Severiano Roldanillo was substituted for Inocencio Koldo. Wágner Brodel hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, João Francisco Barros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ubaldo Cordeal. João Francisco Barros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. After 66 minutes of play, Rossobianco's Edelmiro Hartz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Luiz da Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Carioca in the 76th minute of play forced Rossobianco's goalkeeper Ubaldo Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th match minute, Rossobianco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Rafel to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Luiz da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Eudoxio in the 82nd minute of the match.
