Spectators: 7516 (Terracing: 5638, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pedro Maraman started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Baldomiro Gamus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but German Ourente was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Feliciano Oliviero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Candido Millan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Baldomiro Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Ourente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Anibal Fernendo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. German Ourente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Cristo Llin came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Rafaela FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristo Llin couldn't finish the play. If Feliciano Oliviero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. German Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Lehen in the 26th minute of play. Pedro Maraman scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of German Ourente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Feliciano Oliviero struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Candido Millan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rafaela FC. German Ourente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Gamus, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Pedro Maraman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. German Ourente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Maraman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonides Vito to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Baldomiro Gamus reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of German Ourente. The goal made the score 0-4. Baldomiro Gamus in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of German Ourente, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 60 minutes into the game, Baldomiro Gamus recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of German Ourente. Baldomiro Gamus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. In the 70th minute Pedro Maraman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Ourente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes of play, Palermo's Anibal Fernendo made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. German Ourente was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Maraman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised German Ourente 74 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Pedro Maraman notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Rafaela FC's German Ourente. German Ourente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. German Ourente was a little too slow when Pedro Maraman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-9. German Ourente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baldomiro Gamus's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After 94 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Llin. In the 95th minute Baldomiro Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Ourente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Palermo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rafaela FC throughout the match.
