Spectators: 7528 (Terracing: 5647, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Maraman took the kick off in the first half of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC NILS's Leif Ahlkvist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Candido Millan. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Palermo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC NILS:s goal. After 17 played minutes FC NILS got a freekick which was hit by Evert Ahlerot. In the 19th minute, Pedro Maraman made a precise shot to the right of Klas Åberg. FC NILS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Daniel Vesterberg took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Candido Millan to make any attempt to save it. 34 minutes into the match, FC NILS's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Maraman came free, but Klas Åberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomiro Gamus might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Klas Åberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baldomiro Gamus ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Maraman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klas Åberg having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st match minute, FC NILS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert Ahlerot to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Maraman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Klas Åberg made a huge save. In the 62nd match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Urbez to maneuver through the defense. After 64 played minutes FC NILS got a freekick which was hit by Evert Ahlerot. Greger Hedlund hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. FC NILS's Thomas Näver was substituted for Josef Stenqvist. After 67 played minutes FC NILS got a freekick which was hit by Greger Hedlund. Jan Vennerström's late challenge caught a Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Vennerström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th minute, one of FC NILS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC NILS. Palermo's Baldomiro Gamus got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC NILS! In the 90th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Urbez to maneuver through the defense. Candido Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Ahlkvist in the 94th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andreas Skoog during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Andreas Skoog kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th play minute Pedro Maraman came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Klas Åberg. 4-3. FC NILS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Palermo for a fine match.
