After a rather tough play, YERSIYAHGOKBEYAZ's Şentürk Lemi got a free kick in the 18th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Pedro Maraman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave YERSIYAHGOKBEYAZ the free kick. If Pedro Maraman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the YERSIYAHGOKBEYAZ defense, Pedro Maraman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Utkan Oruz. The YERSIYAHGOKBEYAZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Utkan Oruz should have stopped the shot. Şentürk Lemi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Pedro Maraman got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Anibal Fernendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomiro Gamus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Maraman to make the kick off.
