Cecilio Garci came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by River CBBA's Guillermo Abaurre. But to his dismay, Guillermo Abaurre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cecilio Garci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Abello in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Leon Platense's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Abello came free, but Cecilio Garci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cecilio Garci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Abaurre, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Barto in the 20th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Lore Abajas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Siro Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leon Platense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siro Damario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saul Beltza got free with Lore Abajas in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd match minute, Leon Platense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Hegoi to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saul Beltza was the one to do the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Leon Platense fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 50th minute. Penalty! The supporters of River CBBA booed when Leon Platense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Quin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 played minutes River CBBA got a freekick which was hit by Magdaleno Abadie. In the 65th match minute, Leon Platense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Damario to maneuver through the defense. Lore Abajas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Beltza, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Leon Platense's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Abello came free, but Cecilio Garci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Oscar Barto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon Platense's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Barto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lore Abajas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 85 minutes, Siro Damario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leon Platense and the River CBBA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 88 minutes, Siro Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leon Platense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siro Damario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Abello dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cecilio Garci, 0-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. River CBBA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
