Deportivo Galicia's Santiago Charri suffered a concussion in the 8th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Kurt-Jürgen Solz fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borussia Ostermoordorf's protests and gave Kurt-Jürgen Solz a yellow card for diving instead. Deportivo Galicia made a substitution. Salvador Masas replaced Santiago Charri. In the 14thth minute of the game Weather Bonet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Ostermoordorf's Ronnie Kapzan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ronnie Kapzan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Madaleno Rio, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Fritz Rudolf Lüdemann put in a rough tackle. In the 17th minute, one of Borussia Ostermoordorf:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Borussia Ostermoordorf. After a rather tough play, Borussia Ostermoordorf's Petro Scheel got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Deportivo Galicia getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Odol Garandia hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Madaleno Rio in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronnie Kapzan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 44 minutes into the match, Borussia Ostermoordorf's goal looked a bit too open when Weather Bonet came free, but Ronnie Kapzan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Borussia Ostermoordorf's Ronnie Kapzan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Madaleno Rio in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Madaleno Rio made the kick off in the second half. When Lorenzo Montejo fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Galicia's protests and gave Lorenzo Montejo a yellow card for diving instead. Deportivo Galicia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
