Kaiser!'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bruno Cuellar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Fernendo in the 6th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Urbano Artiaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute Amancio Magdaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Cuellar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12thth minute of the game Carcelén Oribe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Danilo Frascuelo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 13 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Roman Kismi. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Danilo Frascuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carcelén Oribe in the 15th minute of play. Urtungo Trasagua's late challenge caught a NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urtungo Trasagua helped the player get up and apologised. Bruno Cuellar made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Aurelio Hitz sent off a good shot on target. After 20 played minutes, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Adolfo Caitano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruno Cuellar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS reached it. Bruno Cuellar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Magdaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Hitz got free with Bruno Cuellar in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurelio Hitz scored 1-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Cuellar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th minute, Aurelio Hitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Cuellar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 40 played minutes Kaiser! got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Artiaga. After a rather tough play, Kaiser!'s Desiderio Santayana got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Aurelio Hitz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruno Cuellar came out and tried to block the shot, but Aurelio Hitz slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 43rd minute. Kaiser!'s Bruno Cuellar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amancio Magdaleno in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carcelén Oribe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Magdaleno in the 93rd minute of play forced Kaiser!'s goalkeeper Bruno Cuellar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Kaiser! getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Desiderio Santayana hit a great ball. In the 98th minute, Amancio Magdaleno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kaiser! for a fine match.
