After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for NEWELL´S OLD BOYS! The crowd rose to their feet as Amancio Magdaleno kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfred Dylla. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. After 11 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Mario Uhin. Bartosz Kubiak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Dylla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Magdaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartosz Kubiak spun around in front of the goal 23 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal. Danilo Frascuelo came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by ◄19A10► ZRYW Jedlno's Bartosz Kubiak. But to his dismay, Bartosz Kubiak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Lucjan Zieba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to NEWELL´S OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Amancio Magdaleno hit a great ball. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Roman Kismi got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Bernabel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfred Dylla came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Narciso Fresco. But to his dismay, Narciso Fresco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Alfred Dylla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Magdaleno in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Bartosz Kubiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Frascuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Dylla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narciso Fresco went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. When Arturo Balendin fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's protests and gave Arturo Balendin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to NEWELL´S OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Arturo Balendin hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerzy Ochylski got free with Danilo Frascuelo in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute Bartosz Kubiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Frascuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 99 minutes into the game, Adolfo Caitano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ◄19A10► ZRYW Jedlno the free kick. 98 minutes into the game, one of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS had won after a very even match.
