The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's Aristides Brochado got a free kick in the 10th minute. After taking down the ball on Garanhão do SUL's corner Aristides Brochado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Robustiano Eyague quite easily take care of the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Celtic FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Olo to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute Silvério Sabrosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robustiano Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Sabrosa in the 46th minute of the match. Robustiano Eyague made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvério Sabrosa in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Romão Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garanhão do SUL's supporters rose to their feet, but Romão Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robustiano Eyague breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Albano Bartuelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albano Bartuelo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Raimundo Delgado. Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Garanhão do SUL supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Garanhão do SUL would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
