Filomeno Rencio came out of the goal and Iban Agosto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 1-0 became the score in the 8th minute when Gilmar Marquez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 11 minutes, Oscar Blai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardiff City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Blai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Honorio Sotero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Filomeno Rencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iban Agosto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filomeno Rencio made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Gilmar Marquez sent off a good shot on target. Efraim Mill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Blai in the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Honorio Sotero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardiff City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Sotero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Marquez in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filomeno Rencio saved Cardiff City FC from getting behind. Gilmar Marquezs short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Filomeno Rencio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Aioros FC's Dolcet Albiz got a free kick in the 27th minute. Aioros FC's Efraim Mill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Blai in the 28th minute of play. Fabricio Egun's late challenge caught a Aioros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabricio Egun helped the player get up and apologised. Blas Evangelista kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Gilmar Marquez sped through Cardiff City FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Filomeno Rencio. Filomeno Rencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iban Agosto, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The corner ended in Patricio Bezanilla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cardiff City FC's Filomeno Rencio did a great save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Blai to make the kick off. The Cardiff City FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filomeno Rencio should have stopped the shot. Efraim Mill was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute, Iban Agosto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aioros FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
