ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's Neron Gibert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estefan Hernandez in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Mané Aguado hit a great ball. Mané Aguado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neron Gibert having to interfere. If Claudio Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Claudio Diaz 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Claudio Diaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Neron Gibert made a huge save. Mané Aguado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Neron Gibert firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to ALPUJARRAS LIBRE getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Sindo Fernandez hit a great ball. A hard shot 44 in the game by Mané Aguado from a close distance when the talented Neron Gibert managed to make a qualified save. ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's players were relieved. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mané Aguado to strike the kick off in the second half. Neron Gibert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estefan Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, ALPUJARRAS LIBRE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curro Moreno to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute Mané Aguado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neron Gibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the ALPUJARRAS LIBRE defense, Estefan Hernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Neron Gibert. The ALPUJARRAS LIBRE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Neron Gibert should have stopped the shot. Sindo Fernandez took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xabel Beloki. Xabel Beloki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The supporters of ALPUJARRAS LIBRE booed when ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafa Llorca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estefan Hernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Claudio Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Hanni Rico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neron Gibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Estefan Hernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Mané Aguado managed to work through ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mané Aguado dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Estefan Hernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xabel Beloki was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Curro Huarte capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Curro Huarte really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After a rather tough play, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Estefan Hernandez got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
