The referee ignored Le Stade Briochin UC's protests and gave Herbert Dugas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Le Stade Briochin UC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Herbert Dugas hit a great ball. Jérémy Coutier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Burcena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jérémy Coutier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Burcena in the 29th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Hayalim Kedoshim got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Udaeta. After 36 played minutes, Le Stade Briochin UC's Joey Techer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lesardo Rosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Le Stade Briochin UC reached it. If Freddy Blond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lesardo Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Rabaud, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Abraham Hudry the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Le Stade Briochin UC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Abraham Hudry had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.
