KS Ruch Chorzów's Boleslaw Chlapowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Urbano in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute Valdir Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boleslaw Chlapowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Valdir Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th match minute, Misericordia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Garcia to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, KS Ruch Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Valdir Urbano came free, but Boleslaw Chlapowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Urbano in the 21st minute of play forced KS Ruch Chorzów's goalkeeper Boleslaw Chlapowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 played minutes Misericordia EC got a freekick which was hit by Vágner Macedo. Karol Kornatowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When KS Ruch Chorzów's Karol Kornatowski in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. KS Ruch Chorzów's Karol Kornatowski came free and shot a quick shot against goal 38 minutes in the game, fortunately Iuri Aparecido had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Jaroslaw Furtok struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Iuri Aparecido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KS Ruch Chorzów. If Karol Kornatowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaroslaw Furtok received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iuri Aparecido came out and tried to block the shot, but Jaroslaw Furtok slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 42nd minute. Karol Kornatowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Iuri Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vágner Macedo during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir Urbano made a kick off. When Alex Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Misericordia EC's protests and gave Alex Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. Alex Gaúcho hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Teobald Dyczkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Ruch Chorzów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobald Dyczkowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The KS Ruch Chorzów fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when KS Ruch Chorzów's Karol Kornatowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Alex Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Misericordia EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. If Karol Kornatowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Misericordia EC's Vágner Macedo got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Vágner Macedo off the ground. Jaroslaw Furtok took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iuri Aparecido. Misericordia EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Boleslaw Chlapowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 87th minute Karol Kornatowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Teobald Dyczkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teobald Dyczkowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iuri Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Misericordia EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KS Ruch Chorzów.
