FC Montana's Sezen Kotuzhan got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Túlio de Toledo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Serkan Samil showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 7 minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Pedrão Capixaba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gazi Gencer. FC Montana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrão Capixaba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Seterma Tractors's Vicente Salgado got a free kick in the 18th minute. Seterma Tractors's Túlio de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serkan Samil in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Seterma Tractors's José Augusto Cavalcante nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gazi Gencer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Túlio de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Süruri Ethem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
