Spectators: 7673 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1760, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pastor Oriche kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, Itajaí Football Club's Flávio Batista got control of the ball when Christian Jerrald tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th minute Pastor Oriche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Jerrald's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Flávio Batista firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 10 minutes, Túlio Jacinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itajaí Football Club and the Formentera players grew even worse after the yellow card. Túlio Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Flávio Batista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pastor Oriche in the 15th minute. In the 27th minute, Formentera's Pastor Oriche ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Flávio Batista. Flávio Batista yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Flávio Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Oriche in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Itajaí Football Club's Benê Lima got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 37th match minute, Formentera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Jerrald to maneuver through the defense. Itajaí Football Club's Flávio Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Oriche in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th minute Pastor Oriche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anselmo Madureira to strike the kick off in the second half. Flávio Batista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pastor Oriche went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 55th match minute, Itajaí Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Lima to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute of the match Urbano Medero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flávio Batista showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Itajaí Football Club getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Túlio Jacinto hit a great ball. In the 57th minute of the match Alonzo Vincente sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flávio Batista skillfully saved the ball. Túlio Jacinto hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Sílvio Luís do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Prudencio Otsoko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Seme in the 68th minute of play forced Itajaí Football Club's goalkeeper Flávio Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flávio Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Oriche in the 71st minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Pastor Oriche cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Flávio Batista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Itajaí Football Club defense, Christian Jerrald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flávio Batista. The Itajaí Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flávio Batista should have stopped the shot. Juarês Gerber hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Pastor Oriche left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Formentera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Itajaí Football Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Formentera.
