Prudencio Otsoko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codruț Giurăscu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute Alexandria Team08 were awarded a corner. Viorel Firu went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Alexandria Team08's Emil Miclescu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pastor Oriche in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Corneliu Macamete prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th minute, Julio Servando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Simon Nikola. Prudencio Otsoko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viorel Firu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Viorel Firu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Logofătu came free, but Prudencio Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Jerrald in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Corneliu Macamete, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alonzo Vincente's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Corneliu Macamete skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Alonzo Vincente came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Formentera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Vincente couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Alexandria Team08 booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Seme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Alonzo Vincente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corneliu Macamete was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Arnulfo Seme hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 43 minutes, Aurel Răducu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alexandria Team08 and the Formentera players grew even worse after the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurel Răducu made a kick off. Prudencio Otsoko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viorel Firu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Alonzo Vincente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Corneliu Macamete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Alexandria Team08's zone, Alonzo Vincente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Macamete came out of the goal and Alonzo Vincente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Formentera's Christian Jerrald got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Alonzo Vincente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Viorel Firu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alexandria Team08 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 69 minutes into the match, Alonzo Vincente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corneliu Macamete. Alexandria Team08's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alonzo Vincente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Corneliu Macamete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Jerrald in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Alexandria Team08 getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Viorel Firu hit a great ball. Formentera's Robustiano Policarpio got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Vincente came free, but Corneliu Macamete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Alexandria Team08 got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Logofătu. There was no doubt that Formentera were the better team. Formentera's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
