Gabriel Abar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anselmo Madureira went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gabriel Abar came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Itajaí Football Club's Anselmo Madureira. But to his dismay, Anselmo Madureira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Gabriel Abar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Abar came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Itajaí Football Club's Anselmo Madureira. But to his dismay, Anselmo Madureira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christiano Cearense during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Munat Tayka booed when Itajaí Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiano Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Mauricio Abellaneda sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Itajaí Football Club's Flávio Batista didn't even have to move. In the 23rd minute, William Arósio made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Abar. Munat Tayka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Anselmo Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Madureira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Flávio Batista was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Claris Abeita. In the 30th minute Anselmo Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Abar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesco Abastas's late challenge caught a Itajaí Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jesco Abastas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Munat Tayka getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Jesco Abastas hit a great ball. During the 41st minute of the match Christiano Cearense completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Christiano Cearense a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Mauricio Abellaneda, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 45 minutes of play, Itajaí Football Club's William Arósio made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Abar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Flávio Batista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 63 minutes into the match, Itajaí Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Zenaido Abenda came free, but Flávio Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sílvio Luís do Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itajaí Football Club's protests and gave Sílvio Luís do Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. 65 minutes into the match, Itajaí Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Goyo Abello came free, but Flávio Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Goyo Abello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Munat Tayka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itajaí Football Club the free kick. Goyo Abello kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Munat Tayka's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Madureira came free, but Gabriel Abar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
