Spectators: 7671 (Terracing: 5754, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 153) Dida Braga came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Abuba Akotonon FC's Daniel Cristofol. But to his dismay, Daniel Cristofol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Artur Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. When Celsinho Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the O MOTIVO ⚽ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celsinho Magalhães couldn't finish the play. After 26 played minutes O MOTIVO ⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Maciel. Fulgencio Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Braga having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milton Giménez in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dida Braga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abuba Akotonon FC's Benicio Txeru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Abuba Akotonon FC from getting a goal against them. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Dida Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Giménez in the 36th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Fausto Abarca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Abarca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dida Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Shepherd, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Blas-Armando Giunta kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Geovânio de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Fulgencio Shepherd made the kick off in the second half. Milton Giménez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Dida Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Jaime Quirino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. O MOTIVO ⚽'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abuba Akotonon FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in O MOTIVO ⚽ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! In the 71st match minute, O MOTIVO ⚽ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Tasso to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Milton Giménez made a precise shot to the right of Dida Braga. O MOTIVO ⚽'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Válbson Koehler hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Haroldo Suarez's shot from long distance in the 79th minute was not bad at all, but O MOTIVO ⚽'s Dida Braga knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Shepherd in the 80th minute of play forced O MOTIVO ⚽'s goalkeeper Dida Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th match minute, O MOTIVO ⚽ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Tasso to maneuver through the defense. Fulgencio Shepherd did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Dida Braga 81 minutes into the match. Celsinho Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Abuba Akotonon FC's Fausto Abarca got a free kick in the 88th minute. Benicio Txeru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Milton Giménez. In the 97th minute Fulgencio Shepherd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulgencio Shepherd's late challenge caught a O MOTIVO ⚽'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fulgencio Shepherd helped the player get up and apologised. After 98 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Shepherd. In the 99th match minute, O MOTIVO ⚽ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner Mota to maneuver through the defense. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
