It was a penalty for Warren FC - DMZ! When the match had been going on for 4 minutes, Abuba Akotonon FC's Haroldo Suarez got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Felippe Damião. Fausto Abarca hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Hamílton Catarinense took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benicio Txeru. Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Flávio Dantas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Abuba Akotonon FC's Benicio Txeru. Benicio Txeru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the game, Milton Giménez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Felippe Damião was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fulgencio Shepherd's late challenge caught a Warren FC - DMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fulgencio Shepherd helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Shepherd. 28 minutes into the game, Warren FC - DMZ's Flávio Dantas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benicio Txeru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. A collision led to Abuba Akotonon FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jaime Giro hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Warren FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Shepherd came free, but Felippe Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flávio Dantas to make the kick off. Felippe Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Ivo Lara fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Warren FC - DMZ's protests and gave Ivo Lara a yellow card for diving instead. Ivo Lara hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Warren FC - DMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
