The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tad Ezell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caleb Strong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Abuba Akotonon FC's Jaime Giro got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 22nd match minute, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Villegas to maneuver through the defense. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Caleb Strong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Giménez in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Fausto Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caleb Strong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquis Hawthorne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caleb Strong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Txaran in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tad Ezell in the 40th minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Benicio Txeru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Brendon Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brendon Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caleb Strong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Giménez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Caleb Strong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Giménez in the 46th minute of play. Brendon Ramos hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Caleb Strong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milton Giménez in the 52nd minute. Caleb Strong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Shepherd in the 53rd minute of the match. Fulgencio Shepherd received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Caleb Strong came out and tried to block the shot, but Fulgencio Shepherd slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 54th minute. Caleb Strong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Shepherd in the 63rd minute of play. After 68 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Americo Txaran. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Caleb Strong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Giménez in the 72nd minute of play. Caleb Strong came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Abuba Akotonon FC's Milton Giménez. But to his dismay, Milton Giménez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Milton Arthur got a free kick in the 85th minute. Milton Arthur kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Caleb Strong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Cristofol in the 93rd minute. After some careless play in the Abuba Akotonon FC defense, Tad Ezell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benicio Txeru. The Abuba Akotonon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benicio Txeru should have stopped the shot. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
