Spectators: 7701 (Terracing: 5777, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Basílio do Valle kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ian Cerezo got free with Zeferino Távora in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Perivaldo Salles got a free kick in the 4th minute. Jeferson Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Zeferino Távora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeferino Távora made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Basílio do Valle sent off a good shot on target. Severino Gouveia hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Zeferino Távora acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 15th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Christiano Baiano. Tasso FC's Zeferino Távora proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Tasso FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Mendonça in the 24th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Nilson Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilson Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 played minutes Tasso FC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Taveira. Christiano Baiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Zeferino Távora made a huge save. Jeferson Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeferson Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Jeferson Goiano got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Gouveia during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patrício Tomé received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Diego Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. André Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Tasso FC booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeferson Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilson Dracena acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 57th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Emílio Nogueira. Tasso FC's Diego Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 78 minutes, João Vítor de Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SE Palmeiras and the Tasso FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tasso FC booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 84 in the game by Patrício Tomé from a close distance when the talented Nilson Dracena managed to make a qualified save. SE Palmeiras's players were relieved. In the 89th minute, Basílio do Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeferino Távora was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SE Palmeiras were victorious despite being under pressure from Tasso FC for much of the match.
