José Vítor Rodrigues came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kristian Bern could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Carlos de Azevedo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kristian Bern. That made the score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. Independente FC's Nestor Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Wallander in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, Lokomotivet Kamraterna's Kristian Bern got control of the ball when Zé Carlos de Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gert Stenquist hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Zé Carlos de Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristian Bern. Lokomotivet Kamraterna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Carlos de Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. José Vítor Rodrigues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Kristian Bern made a huge save. After 37 minutes, Claes Hermansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lokomotivet Kamraterna and the Independente FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claes Hermansson hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Lokomotivet Kamraterna's Kristian Bern proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Lokomotivet Kamraterna from getting a goal against them. Lokomotivet Kamraterna's Claes Hermansson got his second yellow card of the match in the 46th minute. The referee ordered Claes Hermansson off the ground. Claes Hermansson kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Gilberto Gonçalves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kristian Bern. Lokomotivet Kamraterna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dick Tunström made the kick off in the second half. Dick Tunström took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Quintal. Nestor Quintal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Nestor Quintal made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Dick Tunström sent off a good shot on target. Fredrik Wallander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dick Tunström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Nestor Quintal made a huge save. After 65 minutes, Jimmie Sundberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lokomotivet Kamraterna and the Independente FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 76 minutes, Fredrik Wallander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lokomotivet Kamraterna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Wallander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Fredrik Wallander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lokomotivet Kamraterna's supporters rose to their feet, but Fredrik Wallander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Quintal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Lokomotivet Kamraterna getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Jimmie Sundberg hit a great ball. Kristian Bern showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Rodrigues in the 92nd minute of the match. Independente FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
