Spectators: 7698 (Terracing: 5775, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) Olof Dalberg made the kick off and thus started the match. Independente FC's Nestor Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Näver in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gottfrid Lundkvist during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 7 played minutes Garphyttan got a freekick which was hit by Gottfrid Lundkvist. Brian Fribäck came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Independente FC's José Vítor Rodrigues. But to his dismay, José Vítor Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th minute Zé Carlos de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Fribäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Garphyttan's Richard Sörman got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Brian Fribäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezequiel Barral in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Fribäck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28thth minute of the game Ezequiel Barral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garphyttan's Brian Fribäck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Independente FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Germano Araújo hit a great ball. Olof Dalberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Nestor Quintal made a huge save. After 34 played minutes Garphyttan got a freekick which was hit by Thor Stenström. After having played for 35 minutes, Ezequiel Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independente FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Garphyttan's Börje Näver ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nestor Quintal. Nestor Quintal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Börje Näver kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ezequiel Barral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brian Fribäck was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Barral to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olof Dalberg came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Vítor Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Brian Fribäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Zé Carlos de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Independente FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. After 83 minutes, Börje Näver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garphyttan and the Independente FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Garphyttan's Börje Näver got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Gilberto Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Brian Fribäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
