Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Keilor Volio got the match started through his kick off. Elton Tolaba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keefe Fulton in the 3rd minute of the match. Elton Tolaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Thomas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reginald Callaghan made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Keilor Volio sent off a good shot on target. Reynaldo Chaverri's late challenge caught a Leeton United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Chaverri helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes CD SHETTANI got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Chaverri. When Angel Chaverri fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD SHETTANI's protests and gave Angel Chaverri a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CD SHETTANI! Reynaldo Chaverri hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Thomas Thomas took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elton Tolaba. Elton Tolaba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 29th minute Rudolph Jackson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elton Tolaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keilor Volio came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Reginald Callaghan could save by the left post. In the 32nd match minute, Leeton United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillip Waterland to maneuver through the defense. CD SHETTANI's Elton Tolaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neale Shipp in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, CD SHETTANI's Angel Chaverri got a free kick in the 36th minute. Elton Tolaba came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Leeton United FC's Rudolph Jackson. But to his dismay, Rudolph Jackson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Thomas in the 44th minute of play forced CD SHETTANI's goalkeeper Elton Tolaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Villalobos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CD SHETTANI! Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Neale Shipp to make the kick off. Thomas Thomas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Elton Tolaba made a huge save. Neale Shipp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Phillip Waterland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see CD SHETTANI's Jonny Elizondo in action when he in the 60th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 62nd minute, Alan Mejias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomas Thomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elton Tolaba having to interfere. Reginald Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keilor Volio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elton Tolaba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Thomas in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolph Jackson in the 73rd minute of play forced CD SHETTANI's goalkeeper Elton Tolaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jonny Elizondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, CD SHETTANI's Elton Tolaba got control of the ball when Neale Shipp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reginald Callaghan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny Elizondo in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Leeton United FC's Rudolph Jackson got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute of the match Jonny Elizondo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reginald Callaghan skillfully saved the ball. In the 97th minute Keilor Volio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reginald Callaghan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Leeton United FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
