NAPOLI players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of S.S.C. NAPOLI booed when SSV Ulm 1846 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kassian Rinke didn't get a good kick on the ball. SSV Ulm 1846's Alexander Strzelczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Vianello in the 21st minute of play. S.S.C. After a rather tough play, SSV Ulm 1846's Bogdan Jank got a free kick in the 36th minute. Armando Barone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

53 minutes into the game, SSV Ulm 1846's Kassian Rinke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carter Di Nino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 56 minutes into the game, Armando Barone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Alexander Strzelczyk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Armando Barone succeeded in the game's 60th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. A collision led to SSV Ulm 1846 getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Florian Wirtz hit a great ball. Carter Di Nino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingolf Riechel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the S.S.C. NAPOLI defense, Ingolf Riechel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carter Di Nino. The S.S.C. NAPOLI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carter Di Nino should have stopped the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Kassian Rinke notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of S.S.C. NAPOLI's Carter Di Nino. Carter Di Nino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute Frank Carlucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Strzelczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Strzelczyk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Barone went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. S.S.C. NAPOLI's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because SSV Ulm 1846 had won, even though S.S.C. NAPOLI had held more of the ball.
