Spectators: 7821 (Terracing: 5867, Seating: 1798, VIP seats: 156) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raik Sauer started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, FC Berea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Panțâru to maneuver through the defense. Hartmut Weidenhammer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Tapalagă, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After 8 played minutes Tiger got a freekick which was hit by Jörg Hebenthal. In the 9th minute Basarab Arotăriței shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hartmut Weidenhammer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Berea's Dacian Iurea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save FC Berea from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute, Edmund Trox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute Basarab Arotăriței shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hartmut Weidenhammer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiger's Hartmut Weidenhammer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Tapalagă in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Sabin Vâlcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Berea's Dacian Iurea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save FC Berea from getting a goal against them. Raik Sauer hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Tiger's Hartmut Weidenhammer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Tapalagă in the 32nd minute of play. Dacian Iurea made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Heiner Zöllmer sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Tiger booed when FC Berea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabin Vâlcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hartmut Weidenhammer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Tapalagă in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of FC Berea booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörg Hebenthal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Olimpiu Tapalagă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Arotăriței in the 60th minute of play forced Tiger's goalkeeper Hartmut Weidenhammer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Olimpiu Tapalagă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Berea Matei fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Berea's protests and gave Berea Matei a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Olimpiu Tapalagă reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hartmut Weidenhammer. The goal made the score 0-1. Erland Magino hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Basarab Arotăriței struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Hartmut Weidenhammer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Berea. A collision led to Tiger getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Edmund Trox hit a great ball. Olimpiu Tapalagă who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Hartmut Weidenhammer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 92 minutes of play, FC Berea's Adrian Hâldan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hartmut Weidenhammer was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Berea played a much better game than Tiger and deserved their victory. The Tiger players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
