Marcel Robu charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcel Robu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd match minute, ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Robu to maneuver through the defense. Tiger's David Garefrekes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ASF BAIA MARE -MM-. Manuel Gebauer's late challenge caught a ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Gebauer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Radu Moldovan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ASF BAIA MARE -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Emil Floruțiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Edmund Trox could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Nae Morar made a huge save. In the 46th minute Octav Glăvan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hartmut Weidenhammer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raik Sauer to make the kick off. Nae Morar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörg Hebenthal in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when David Garefrekes came free, but Nae Morar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Octav Glăvan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hartmut Weidenhammer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, David Garefrekes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tiger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 88 played minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Alex Rușanu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Moldovan in the 93rd minute of play forced Tiger's goalkeeper Hartmut Weidenhammer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Manuel Gebauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nae Morar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
