Spectators: 7779 (Terracing: 5835, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 155) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Matei Giosu took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd match minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Stejaru to maneuver through the defense. Aristide Pupăzan charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aristide Pupăzan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Ionel Manolescu from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got Edgar Coposu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 7th minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Wawa Doro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgar Coposu. Edgar Coposu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 10th minute, Irinel Itoafă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horaţiu Corduneanu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorel Codin to maneuver through the defense. Alex Ţirpe came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Stiinta-Univ.'s Matei Giosu. But to his dismay, Matei Giosu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Matei Giosu's late challenge caught a Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matei Giosu helped the player get up and apologised. Matei Giosu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Wawa Doro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wawa Doro to make the kick off. Edgar Coposu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Baran in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Moise Stejaru got a free kick in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Matei Giosu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Matei Giosu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Ţirpe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Traian Lupescu hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Ionel Manolescu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stiinta-Univ.'s Edgar Coposu didn't even have to move. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Traian Lupescu during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Traian Lupescu hit a great ball. Stiinta-Univ.'s Edgar Coposu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wawa Doro in the 67th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Stiinta-Univ. got a freekick which was hit by Traian Lupescu. Alex Ţirpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Giosu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Irinel Itoafă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stiinta-Univ.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batalionul U23 Dorobanti the free kick. In the 77th minute, Avram Panaiteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Traian Lupescu hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Irinel Itoafă took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Alex Ţirpe to make any attempt to save it. Laurențiu Muntean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Alex Ţirpe made a huge save. When Avram Panaiteanu fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's protests and gave Avram Panaiteanu a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Avram Panaiteanu. Wawa Doro scored 2-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgar Coposu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
