The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. U. de Tarapacá's Elton Tin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save U. de Tarapacá from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Hernani Lira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elton Tin. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Elvis Nieto kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Wilian Fonseca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Elton Tin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Laureano Casanueva fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U. de Tarapacá's protests and gave Laureano Casanueva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute of the match Elvis Nieto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enio Pinho skillfully saved the ball. U. de Tarapacá's Miren Guilisasti got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodor Bahamondes hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. U. de Tarapacá's Elton Tin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save U. de Tarapacá from getting a goal against them. Tauro Tello kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Elton Tin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amadeu Pombal in the 40th minute. If Tauro Tello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enio Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Irisarri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernani Lira made a kick off. After some careless play in the U. de Tarapacá defense, Severino Quintal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elton Tin. The U. de Tarapacá fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elton Tin should have stopped the shot. In the 54th minute Hernani Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elton Tin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Donato hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Enio Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvis Nieto in the 59th minute of the match. Laureano Casanueva hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. João Francisco Mota was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Tauro Tello got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Severino Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Elton Tin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elton Tin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elton Tin came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Mestre GG's Amadeu Pombal. But to his dismay, Amadeu Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Odol Bianchi hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Mota came free, but Elton Tin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Amadeu Pombal suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Teodor Bahamondes hit a great ball. Elton Tin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilian Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mestre GG had played much better football throughout.
