A well-hit corner resulted in Boran Acunalp heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Durmuş Topay fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KARTALSPOR KULÜBÜ's protests and gave Durmuş Topay a yellow card for diving instead. Durmuş Topay hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Şerafettin Demirtekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Arne Grubb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Hjalmar Arvidsson made a precise shot to the right of Şerafettin Demirtekin.
