The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes CA Boca Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Profeta. Ercole Ceresoli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CA Boca Jrs's Emanuele Guaita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Augusto Carneiro in the 18th minute of play. After 23 minutes, Federico Monaco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CA Boca Jrs and the AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes CA Boca Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Federico Monaco. When Ciccio Di Rocco fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CA Boca Jrs's protests and gave Ciccio Di Rocco a yellow card for diving instead. Ciccio Di Rocco kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes CA Boca Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Di Rocco. 32 minutes into the match, AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Tozzi came free, but Ismael Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Tozzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Valadares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dennis Tozzi ran back to his position shaking his head. When Federico Monaco was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 40 minutes had been played. The supporters of AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ booed when CA Boca Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Monaco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 minutes, Pedro Augusto Carneiro made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. CA Boca Jrs's Emanuele Guaita tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ercole Ceresoli to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Valdemar Passos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emanuele Guaita. The goal made the score 2-3. Valdemar Passos struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Emanuele Guaita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ. Emanuele Guaita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Pedro Augusto Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Guaita having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Valdemar Passos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emanuele Guaita. The goal made the score 2-5. In the 70th minute, Pedro Augusto Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Lara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emanuele Guaita firmly grabbed it by the left post. Corrado Cicchetti kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Túlio Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Valdemar Passos came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdemar Passos couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute Valdemar Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuele Guaita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Dennis Tozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CA Boca Jrs's Dennis Tozzi got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
