Taquaritinga booed when Navigatii Bacău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Călin Zdroană didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costin Răchitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Teodor Cârlan came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Antônio Ferreira could save by the left post. Celso Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Antônio Ferreira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nicodim Chirnoagă. The crowd rose to their feet as Navigatii Bacău's Teodor Cârlan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antônio Ferreira. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. Costin Răchitan came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Délio Coelho. But to his dismay, Délio Coelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Antônio Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicodim Chirnoagă in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Navigatii Bacău's Teodor Cârlan made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antônio Ferreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute Celso Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Răchitan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionel Galiceanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Antônio Ferreira made a huge save. Antônio Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Cârlan in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toader Opriș in the 31st minute of play forced Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Antônio Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Teodor Cârlan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antônio Ferreira. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodor Cârlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Costin Răchitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Andrade in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Virgílio Salgado got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute of the match Nicodim Chirnoagă sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antônio Ferreira skillfully saved the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goal looked a bit too open when Toader Opriș came free, but Antônio Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. Humberto Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Toader Opriș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Cârlan came free, but Antônio Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Navigatii Bacău's zone, Celso Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costin Răchitan came out of the goal and Celso Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the game, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Celso Sabóia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Costin Răchitan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. 76 minutes into the game, Clube Atl. Otávio Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. When the match was over Clube Atl. Taquaritinga could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Navigatii Bacău throughout the match.
