After 2 played minutes Nueva Adalucia got a freekick which was hit by Flor Saez. Iker Simon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romo Viqueira in the 5th minute of play. In the 7thth minute of the game Julio Bergada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mesere's Iker Simon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hustaz Cedron took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loren Valerón. Loren Valerón dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Iker Simon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Urquijo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Nueva Adalucia's zone, Hustaz Cedron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loren Valerón came out of the goal and Hustaz Cedron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Inacio Tordesillas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mesere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inacio Tordesillas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Mesere's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Rubio came free, but Iker Simon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Nueva Adalucia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Urquijo to maneuver through the defense. Iker Simon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romo Viqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Mesere's Inacio Tordesillas got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute of the match Desiderio Lozano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iker Simon skillfully saved the ball. Iker Simon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romo Viqueira in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hustaz Cedron to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Julio Bergada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nueva Adalucia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mesere the free kick. Julio Bergada kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Romo Viqueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iker Simon was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Iker Simon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Rubio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Inacio Tordesillas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Mesere's Primitivo Obispo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Primitivo Obispo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mesere protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Primitivo Obispo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 67th minute, one of Mesere:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mesere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Alfredo Urquijo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nueva Adalucia's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Urquijo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Simon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Nuno Aranzubia sped through Mesere's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iker Simon. Alfredo Urquijo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mesere's Jaunzuria Canta got a free kick in the 85th minute. A hard shot by Romo Viqueira from long distance, 86 minutes into the match, got Iker Simon's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inacio Tordesillas in the 89th minute of play forced Nueva Adalucia's goalkeeper Loren Valerón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Mesere booed when Nueva Adalucia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caton Taules didn't get a good kick on the ball.
