Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Faustino Markel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Palacios in the 7th minute of play. Dep. Moron's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rolando Aranda in the 8th minute. In the 12th match minute, Dep. Moron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lonnie Bowman to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dep. Moron's zone, Edgard Uzuri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernest Long came out of the goal and Edgard Uzuri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernest Long made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Gilberto Horado sent off a good shot on target. Ernest Long stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinicio Reyes's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Dep. Moron's Ernest Long proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Dep. Moron from getting a goal against them. Javier Gutxi hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 42 played minutes Olimpo de Bahia Blanca got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Oihenarte. When Dep. Moron's Lucas Palacios in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goalie prevented a goal. Ernest Long made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinicio Reyes in the 44th minute. After 45 played minutes Dep. Moron got a freekick which was hit by Lonnie Bowman.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Palacios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gilberto Horado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Horado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernest Long breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute Vinicio Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Long saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Dep. Moron's Terrell Simons slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Faustino Markel. That made the score 1-1 after 61 minutes of play. In the 64th minute Vinicio Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Long saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Gilberto Horado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ernest Long was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Faustino Markel made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Casey Redmond sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Dep. Moron booed when Olimpo de Bahia Blanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Erasto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goalkeeper Faustino Markel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Palacios. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca had won after a very even match.
