Naldo de Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kaká Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Naldo de Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Passos hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Donatello in the 44th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Kaká Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaká Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joélson Donatello in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Joélson Donatello came free and shot a quick shot against goal 61 minutes in the game, fortunately Kaká Lopes had problems saving as it came toward the left post. If Geovani Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
