Clayton Vella started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when William Manicolo came free, but Kaká Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Giovani Pinheiro hit a great ball. Kaká Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Manicolo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Carlo Markham made a precise shot to the right of Kaká Lopes. Jenipapo SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 18 minutes, William Manicolo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seraċini Għawdxin and the Jenipapo SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jenipapo SC booed when Seraċini Għawdxin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Manicolo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Seraċini Għawdxin's zone, Wanderson Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dejan Cumbo came out of the goal and Wanderson Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd match minute, Seraċini Għawdxin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joe Petroni to maneuver through the defense. Kaká Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Manicolo in the 45th minute of play.

The wind increased when Cafu Catarinense made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Carlo Markham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Couto came free, but Dejan Cumbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godwin Spagnol hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute of the match Tomás Passos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dejan Cumbo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano Guedes hit a great ball. William Manicolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Lopes having to interfere. Dejan Cumbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seraċini Għawdxin were furious when Tony Schiavone was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Seraċini Għawdxin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jenipapo SC:s goal. Wanderson Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dejan Cumbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. William Manicolo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carlo Markham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Edward Gruppetta got a free kick in the 86th minute. Clayton Vella kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Steve Rizzo kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. With a little luck, Seraċini Għawdxin's Dejan Cumbo got control of the ball when Cafu Catarinense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Despite being the better team, Jenipapo SC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
