The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Jenipapo SC's Fellipe Albuquerque threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomás Passos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fellipe Albuquerque made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Cafu Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute Alberto Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fellipe Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Silveira. André Rosado hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Silveira. Fellipe Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Jenipapo SC booed when S.E. Pindorama Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Jenipapo SC's Fellipe Albuquerque threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomás Passos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Fellipe Albuquerque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save S.E. Pindorama Eagles from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Luís Donatello got a free kick in the 39th minute. Percy Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to S.E. Pindorama Eagles getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luís Donatello hit a great ball. Alberto Couto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fellipe Albuquerque came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Couto slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Cordeiro was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes in the game, Samuel Cordeiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kaká Lopes having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Cafu Catarinense notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Fellipe Albuquerque. Fellipe Albuquerque was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fellipe Albuquerque. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Fabiano Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Fellipe Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Teixeira's late challenge caught a Jenipapo SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Teixeira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, S.E. Pindorama Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Jenipapo SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
