Dejan Cumbo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gwidon Chowaniec went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dejan Cumbo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gwidon Chowaniec's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gwidon Chowaniec made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, FC Grodzka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dobromir Dresik to maneuver through the defense. Seraċini Għawdxin's Dejan Cumbo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Seraċini Għawdxin from getting a goal against them. 56 minutes into the match, Clayton Vella notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Grodzka's Wladyslaw Mazierz. After a defensive mix-up in Seraċini Għawdxin's zone, Mieszko Literski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dejan Cumbo came out of the goal and Mieszko Literski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Seraċini Għawdxin's Edward Gruppetta pulled a muscle in his back after 85 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Tolek Kolano charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tolek Kolano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gwidon Chowaniec hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Carlo Markham got a free kick in the 90th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
