The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Grodzka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jenipapo SC the free kick. Zbyszek Trzaskoma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Grodzka's Zbyszek Trzaskoma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Grodzka from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Cafu Catarinense could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Zbyszek Trzaskoma however easily saved by the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tolek Kolano was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes FC Grodzka got a freekick which was hit by Dobromir Dresik. If Alberto Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Luan Toscano hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, FC Grodzka's Szczepan Olszewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kaká Lopes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Tolek Kolano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaká Lopes. Jenipapo SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tolek Kolano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Kaká Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tolek Kolano in the 66th minute of play. Juliusz Wolnik kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Percy Lopes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zbyszek Trzaskoma skillfully saved the ball. Tolek Kolano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Jenipapo SC booed when FC Grodzka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karol Gieraltowski didn't get a good kick on the ball.
