Santiago Argenis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Gildo Diniz made a huge save. In the 5th minute, Edu Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 5 minutes, Serafino Geofredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Potrero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafino Geofredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Arnaldo Couto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. Arnaldo Couto hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Santiago Argenis took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gildo Diniz. Gildo Diniz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 42nd match minute, C. A. Potrero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Lehior to maneuver through the defense. Javier Steven came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atlético Paulista's Fred da Silva. But to his dismay, Fred da Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Serafino Geofredo made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Alejo Nerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niceto Lehior hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, Serafino Geofredo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Gildo Diniz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 68 played minutes C. A. Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Argenis. In the 72nd match minute, C. A. Potrero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Birjaio to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Luís Fabiano Pereira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Javier Steven. That made the score 2-2 in the 76 minute of play. In the 81stth minute of the game Serafino Geofredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Atlético Paulista's Gildo Diniz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gildo Diniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafino Geofredo in the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to C. A. Potrero getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Santiago Argenis hit a great ball. Despite being the better team, C. A. Potrero failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
