Spectators: 7734 (Terracing: 5802, Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rogelio Madeo kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute of the match, Rogelio Madeo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jörgen Olofsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Enrique Urtsin came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Wargön's Sigvard Wallander. But to his dismay, Sigvard Wallander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Rogelio Madeo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jörgen Olofsson to make any attempt to save it. Enrique Urtsin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigvard Wallander in the 18th minute of the match. If Emilio Serafo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Gonchan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jörgen Olofsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Ekelund in the 25th minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Enrique Urtsin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörgen Olofsson made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Hernan Gonchan sent off a good shot on target. After 37 minutes of play, Vélez Juniors's Rogelio Madeo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jörgen Olofsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Wargön booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Lleir didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sigvard Wallander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Wargön got a freekick which was hit by Sigvard Wallander. 62 minutes into the game, Erik Busk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wargön's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vélez Juniors the free kick. The supporters of Vélez Juniors booed when Wargön was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Busk didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Madeo in the 64th minute of play forced Wargön's goalkeeper Jörgen Olofsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Vélez Juniors getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Ulises Cristofol hit a great ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Svante Lindqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wargön's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svante Lindqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enrique Urtsin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliott Ekelund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Gai hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Sergio Gai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jörgen Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Madeo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute Karl-Erik Billvall suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Ulises Cristofol's late challenge caught a Wargön's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulises Cristofol helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Vélez Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Cristofol. Rogelio Madeo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
