Edson Soret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugênio Peres got free with Edson Soret in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Classe A Futebol Clube's Egídio Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lordi Salais in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lordi Salais in the 72nd minute of play forced Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Egídio Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Classe A Futebol Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
