Spectators: 7687 (Terracing: 5766, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Vélez Juniors's Rogelio Madeo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miromir Lewicki charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miromir Lewicki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of FC Pierońskie Hanysy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vélez Juniors:s goal. In the 8th minute of the match Vélez Juniors got a corner. FC Pierońskie Hanysy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sergio Gai ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Rogelio Madeo advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 9th minute. The supporters of FC Pierońskie Hanysy booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Gai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Rogelio Madeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Jajesniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Pierońskie Hanysy's Stefan Jajesniak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Gai in the 22nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Rogelio Madeo took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Stefan Jajesniak to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernan Gonchan in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Jajesniak saved FC Pierońskie Hanysy from getting behind. Vélez Juniors's Emilio Serafo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stefan Jajesniak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Madeo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogdan Fink made a kick off. Sergio Gai charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergio Gai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th minute Hernan Gonchan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Jajesniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Madeo in the 61st minute of play forced FC Pierońskie Hanysy's goalkeeper Stefan Jajesniak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Jajesniak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Madeo in the 65th minute of play. Hernan Gonchan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stefan Jajesniak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to Vélez Juniors getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Carlos Lleir hit a great ball. Miromir Lewicki kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Hernan Gonchan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Pierońskie Hanysy's Tobiasz Wielkopolski got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Gonchan in the 91st minute of play forced FC Pierońskie Hanysy's goalkeeper Stefan Jajesniak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
