The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nicholas Abello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Apelquist in the 4th minute of the match. Valerio Abecia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Johnsson having to interfere. Olof Löfkvist's late challenge caught a Deportivo Empate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olof Löfkvist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Protegéerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Löfkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Sven Skark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Abello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven Skark in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicholas Abello saved Deportivo Empate from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valerio Abecia during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Sven Skark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicholas Abello was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mannie Abella was the one to do the kick off. Nicholas Abello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicholas Abello was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sven Skark showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 60 minute of play. Sven Skark could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Nicholas Abello made a huge save. Deportivo Empate's Nicholas Abello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo-Erik Springfält in the 75th minute of play.
