The supporters of Deportivo Empate booed when Unikurdos United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frascuelo Casado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Franco Abascal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Empate's supporters rose to their feet, but Franco Abascal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edson Soret breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th match minute, Unikurdos United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frascuelo Casado to maneuver through the defense. If Simao Abeijon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Mannie Abella's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edson Soret was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Hermelando Junco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Edson Soret managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Deportivo Empate's Franco Abascal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 27th minute, Mannie Abella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unikurdos United F.C.'s Edson Soret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simao Abeijon in the 29th minute of play. If Mannie Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Unikurdos United F.C.'s goalkeeper Edson Soret had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franco Abascal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Uxio Agosta made the kick off in the second half. Edson Soret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mannie Abella in the 53rd minute of the match. Frascuelo Casado hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Franco Abascal might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edson Soret. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franco Abascal ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mannie Abella in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edson Soret saved Unikurdos United F.C. from getting behind. Edson Soret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mannie Abella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Deportivo Empate fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Deportivo Empate's Mannie Abella looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With 80 minutes on the clock, Goyo Abaurre commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Empate! After 82 minutes Deportivo Empate's goalkeeper Nicholas Abello managed, with a little bit of luck, save Lehen Urrejola's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. When Hernando Abella fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Empate's protests and gave Hernando Abella a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Empate's Valerio Abecia got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Deportivo Empate players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
