An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrone Kirkpatrick in the 6th minute of play forced De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Hendrik Adriaanse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of De Pelgrims booed when Korona Kielce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Russ Wardman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Korona Kielce's Richard Brearley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdi van der Schaaf in the 8th minute of play. Richard Brearley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kees Lammens in the 12th minute of the match. Rhys Rathmell took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hendrik Adriaanse. Hendrik Adriaanse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Plaggenborg in the 24th minute of play forced Korona Kielce's goalkeeper Richard Brearley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Brearley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiën Buskermolen in the 26th minute of the match. De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhys Rathmell in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match, Jef Savenije tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Richard Brearley saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Russ Wardman hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kees Lammens in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Brearley saved Korona Kielce from getting behind. When Patrick Davis fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Korona Kielce's protests and gave Patrick Davis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Korona Kielce getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Patrick Davis hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Jef Savenije got a free kick in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Rhys Rathmell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Korona Kielce's supporters rose to their feet, but Rhys Rathmell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hendrik Adriaanse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Brearley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kees Lammens in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kees Lammens made the kick off in the second half. Richard Brearley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jef Savenije in the 53rd minute of play. Richard Brearley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfried Robben in the 55th minute of the match. Benji Eubank could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Hendrik Adriaanse made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tyrone Kirkpatrick got free with Hendrik Adriaanse in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rhys Rathmell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Hendrik Adriaanse made a huge save. In the 64th minute, Russ Wardman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Korona Kielce made a substitution. Billie Wakefield replaced Martyn Van Der Hoorn. Korona Kielce's Nick Holyfield was substituted for Deon Tully. Russ Wardman kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. When Neil Hinshelwood fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Korona Kielce's protests and gave Neil Hinshelwood a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Korona Kielce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Hinshelwood to maneuver through the defense. De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save De Pelgrims from getting a goal against them. De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyrone Kirkpatrick in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, De Pelgrims was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Lammens to maneuver through the defense. If Benji Eubank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Korona Kielce's zone, Kees Lammens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Brearley came out of the goal and Kees Lammens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hendrik Adriaanse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benji Eubank in the 92nd minute. The De Pelgrims supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Korona Kielce's performance. The match ended with a win for Korona Kielce.
